The Ancient Future is a single page, solo journaling TTRPG utilizing tarot cards to inspire the journey. This is a Princess Sword game, based on Anna Anthropy’s Princess with a Cursed Sword, available at w.itch.io.

An ancient entity wakes from the ocean deep, having slept through the rise and fall of civilization. Old landmarks washed away, new ones engulfed in water and made a home to new beings. The entity is no longer recognized amongst these waters, and does not recognize those around it. Amongst the ruins of an alien society, it is time for the entity to take a long prophesied journey. In this strange world, does such an entity still have a place?

I really like the concept and tone of this, where you get to be both ancient and powerful yet completely new and out of your element. I immediately started picturing space whales.
